SCHEDULE: Full Time, Onsite
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50% - 75%
COMPENSATION: $72,380.00 to $154,755.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
The Resolutions Officer serves the Association's internal and external customers by managing and servicing assigned accounts that are substandard classified. The primary goal of the Resolutions Officer is to assist a borrower in returning to viability or assist in exiting the lending relationship if viability is not possible. Resolutions Officers work with customers to evaluate the financial position and facilitate servicing options on accounts where viability is attainable.

How You Will Spend Your Time
- Manages a multi-million dollar adverse portfolio to resolve accounts and continue servicing objectives set forth in action plans. Plans, organizes and manages the assigned portfolio to understand customer needs, financial information, and strengths and weaknesses.
- Works in conjunction with Retail, Retail Credit, and other business units to become familiar with customer’s operation and determine a servicing plan going forward. Assists in joint meetings to be proactive on accounts that may become distressed.
- Maintains the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of customer service, credit administration and management of high-risk accounts.
- Oversees administration of Borrower Rights, and works with customers to understand these rights.
- Communicates with customers often to make determinations on what their needs are, while also balancing the Association’s interests in maintaining sound credit and acceptable non accrual volume.
- Coaches, coordinates, and delivers group training to advocate for proactivity in servicing high-risk accounts.
- Keeps accounts up-to-date and strives towards a goal of returning accounts to viability / fully acceptable classification, or making a determination about the future lending relationship.
- Documents action steps in the appropriate place and references these notes as requested.
- Builds expertise in the areas of agriculture and residential credit, finance, technology, and the various market segments served by FCMA, and maintains a working knowledge of the relevance and importance of financial information and documentation.
- Works with customers to help explain their financial situation based upon data collected and analyzed.
- Uses this information to make sound credit decisions within assigned delegated authority, and supports these decisions and analysis within the Agrilytic decisioning tool.

Minimum Education & Experience
High School Diploma/GED is required. Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job is preferred.
Plus two years successful experience, in credit, resolutions, sales, or a similar role. Knowledge of agriculture production, methods, products, and value-added business and agriculture concepts. Experience negotiating credit packages and collaborating with sales positions.

Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
