LOCATION: This position is a remote role based in Colorado, Kansas, or New Mexico, where you will lead a team of loan officers across the region.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50% - 75%
COMPENSATION: $121,716.00 to $243,613.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
The Regional Vice President (RVP) Rural 1st Sales is primarily responsible for growing and leading mobile sales professionals to provide an exceptional influencer and customer experience through delivery of products and services. This position has overall accountability for the performance and results of a specified consumer region.
This position requires existing NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, or the ability to obtain the same upon hire, and maintenance of a status in good standing during employment.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Providing strategy for the overall customer experience, sales delivery and credit function for the assigned region.
- Contributing to the creation of and implementing strategies to execute the region’s business development plan, including marketplace analysis and marketing plans.
- Developing the various markets available within a consumer sales territory from a growth perspective. Aligns regional goals with association goals of sales production, loan quality, customer selection and financial results.
- Supporting sales team members by participating in joint sales calls, guiding the effective structuring and appropriate rates and terms in various loan scenarios to drive business results.
- Defining team operating standards and monitoring adherence to essential procedures.
- Exercising management authority in performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, and other employment decisions.
- Achieving results by leading and coaching team members, as well as influencing and collaborating with team members in other areas of the organization.
- Modeling organizational values, inspiring a shared vision, and holding their teams accountable for culture preservation and growth.
- Training, providing training for, and/or reinforcing the necessary sales credit skills for direct reports.
- Granting delegated authorities and reviewing loans within scope of authority.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in business, agriculture or related field. 7 years progressively responsible sales/credit experience, three of which have been in a leadership role or having demonstrated leadership responsibilities.

Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
