COMPENSATION: $48,008.00 to $87,738.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
On an individual rotation basis or part of a team effort, provides cash management support to retail offices, customers and AgriBank. This position is expected to resolve a wide variety of accounting, accounting system, and treasury management issues. Organize and prioritize work to meet processing deadlines.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Maintain a focus on quality, controls, and productivity in service and support to Farm Credit Mid-America staff, internal and external customers, AgriBank staff, auditors, and outside vendors while answering questions, researching problems, making corrections to ensure accuracy of billing statements, and providing solutions from multiple sources including email, multi-line phone queue, and internal software systems.
- Process loan receivable and cash receipts for operational functions, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures for payment of loans. Manage and process the electronic transfer of funds through the Automated Clearing House (ACH).
- Post and reconcile all association incoming wires, prepare, and review outgoing domestic and international wires.
- Perform posting reversals resulting from returned checks and assesses fees associated with returned items and monitor, and post association rejected transactions (credit line drafts, ACH and other disbursements) in relation to fraud monitoring techniques. Monitor, document, and report changes that could impact financials.
- Process lockbox, remittances, and other transactions to identify amounts/fees payable to Association and third-party partners.
- Manage check ordering and processing for internal and external customers, including international checks and reconcile and record all incoming checks and prepare daily deposits.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger system.
- Provide support of investment trade execution for the Investment team.
- Serve as department liaison for all financial fraud cases by collecting appropriate documentation, enforcing association fraud prevention and compliance by processing and/or obtaining approval for outgoing wires, same-day ACH, ACH disbursement setups, ACH validation and reporting as appropriate.
- Acquire, apply and maintain expertise in accounting systems, treasury systems, association practices and procedures and cash management protocols to provide operational and technical support to Farm Credit Mid-America staff, Agribank staff and Farm Credit Mid-America customers.
Minimum Education & Experience
Associate's Degree or equivalent classroom hours. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related area is preferred. 1 year experience in loan servicing, accounting, banking, cash management or financially related customer support using a variety of business software, demonstrating proficiency in Excel.

Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
