SCHEDULE: Full Time
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25%
COMPENSATION: $70,615.00 to $169,806.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
Gather, document, and analyze information requirements for implementation and integration into database environments. Respond to recurring and ad hoc reporting requests and data updates. Translate business requirements into actionable insights, collaborate with other team members to deliver data extracts, operational reports and dashboards. Ensure accuracy and integrity of operational data. Provide second level support to our business, database and application development teams.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Establish relationships with business units, solicit and gather requirements. Evaluate systems for efficiencies and continuously improve data delivery mechanisms.
- Execute complex data extraction and integrate to create and supply data sets to allow users to perform analysis and data mining.
- Develop, inspect, clean, and transform data and evaluate resulting data sets; Profile data, identify trends and patterns, find and understand anomalies and / or outliers; implement quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy of data.
- Partner with team members to develop custom software algorithms and programs related to data collection.
- Define and document all data sets and extraction and integration routines. Assist with creating training documents and videos.
- Serve as point of contact for business regarding data inquiries and data modifications.
- Develop, test, implement, maintain and document reports and reporting processes.
- In coordination with the Database Architects, analyze requirements and develop data migration/conversion plans and objects. Work with Database Architects to derive solutions for data related issues.
- Responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of corporate databases and ensure accuracy and integrity of operational data. Initiate and/or monitor corrective action, as necessary. Research and review current orchestrations to identify improvements and tuning.
- Create and maintain testable scripts/business scenarios specifically for the purpose of good integration testing.
- Actively participates on assigned projects fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking attainment of team goals to align with business needs.
- Ensures that business and technical skills are kept up to date to provide most efficient support to end users.
- Represents and communicates the mission and values of Farm Credit Mid-America and complies with its conduct policy, security policy, and confidentiality expectations.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent relevant work experience) in business, accounting or computer science or related field and a minimum three years’ experience in requirements gathering and analysis with the business and development teams.
