COMPENSATION: $99,925.00 to $174,051.00  base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

About Our Opportunity

The Director of Rural 1st Loan Servicing provides leadership and strategic direction for the Loan Servicing team
that supports multiple business functions. This position is responsible for ensuring appropriate financial
practices, accounting principles, and controls are applied. This position oversees cross-functional projects,
resolution of customer service issues relating to accounting or financial systems and provides support to
customers and vendors.

The Director works closely with other leaders in the association to support collaborative relationships so that
team members provide support and share expertise in areas pertaining to accounting and financial support.

How You Will Spend Your Time

  • Leading and coaching others, setting team's direction and deploying resources, evaluating performance,
    reviewing pay and recommending employment decisions.
  • Defining team operating standards and monitoring adherence to essential procedures.
  • Achieving results by leading members of the team as well as collaborating with leaders in other areas of the
    association.
  • Maintaining technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process development capabilities.
  • Being accountable for performance and results in business, functional or operational areas.
  • Developing processes and programs that promote an understanding and positively contribute to providing an
    excellent customer experience.
  • Modeling organizational values, inspiring a shared vision and engaging with their teams to build and grow a
    vibrant, positive culture.
  • Adjusting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges with focus on the
    next one to two years' priorities.
  • Making decisions within their area of responsibility based on policies, procedures and the business plan.
  • Using resources availability and functional objectives to achieve departmental goals.
  • Applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with peers, functional leaders and other
    stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to make recommendations and solve problems.
  • Providing technical guidance to employees, colleagues and customers.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business; five years of progressively responsible work experience demonstrating transferable skills relevant to the role ; advance degree (MBA) and professional certifications (CMA, CPA) preferred.
