Compensation: The salary range for this position is estimated to be $74,190.00 – $178,402.00 annualized, which reflects the company’s current estimate of the potential compensation range at the time of posting. This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position and represents one component of the total rewards package. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, qualifications, and allotted budget. About Our Opportunity
The IT Business Analyst partners with business owners, stakeholders, and development teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements that drive technology solutions and business value. This role facilitates Agile processes, manages and supports prioritization of the delivery team backlog, and collaborates with product and business team members to define features, user stories, and conditions of acceptance to support successful solution delivery. The IT Business Analyst analyzes business processes, identifies improvement opportunities, and promotes alignment between business objectives and desired outcomes and technology solutions.
The IT Business Analyst contributes independently to routine and recurring work with growing confidence and consistency. It applies established procedures, manages assigned responsibilities effectively, and collaborates with others to support business outcomes. Team members at this level are expanding functional knowledge, strengthening judgment, and developing problem-solving skills within defined parameters.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Facilitates collaboration among business owners, stakeholders, and development teams to define, prioritize, and refine features, user stories, and conditions of acceptance using Agile methodologies.
- Primarily responsible for managing, documenting, and organizing delivery teamwork (dependencies, ADO boards, sprint planning, etc.) and facilitating team ceremonies, with responsibility for leading and executing these activities shared across team members based on each team’s structure and ways of working.
- Utilizes team delivery metrics and qualitative feedback to evaluate team performance (velocity, cycle time, lead time, etc.) and support continuous improvement within the delivery team.
- Elicits, analyzes, and documents business, process, and data requirements, translating business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
- Manages the delivery team backlog and communicates priorities, requirements, risks, work progress updates, and recommendations to support informed decision-making and project delivery.
- Analyzes current and future-state business processes and system functionality, identify gaps and enhancement opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve user experience and operational effectiveness.
- Develops process models, data requirements, user scenarios, test scenarios and test scripts for functional testing (and technical testing in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Engineer), and interface mockups to support solution design, testing, and implementation activities.
- Partners with business stakeholders, Quality Assurance, and operational teams to evaluate impacts, dependencies, and continuous improvement opportunities that increase business value and support future development initiatives.
- Completes routine assignments independently using established procedures and sound judgment.
- Applies working knowledge to resolve common issues and identifies when to seek guidance.
- Communicates clearly with teammates and internal partners to support coordinated work.
- Organizes workload to meet deadlines and deliver consistent, reliable outcomes.
- Contributes ideas that strengthen processes, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Uses available tools and resources to resolve straightforward issues and improve confidence.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/GED with 5 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree with 1 year relevant experience preferred.
- Agile or Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Business Analyst certification preferred.
Mental & Physical Requirements
While performing the responsibilities of this role, team members typically sit for extended periods, use hands for computer and office tasks, and communicate verbally. Standing or walking may be required on a frequent basis, with occasional reaching, lifting, or moving items weighing up to ten pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision. The work environment generally involves a moderate noise level.
This role requires sustained mental focus, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, with extended computer use common. Some positions may include additional physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as holding a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel long distances.
