COMPENSATION: $72,380.00 to $137,777.00  base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

About Our Opportunity

The Operations Analyst will work with other Business Technology teams to assist and support IT Operations by providing Operational governance and process control for IT Operations, as well as identifying and coordinating the solutions for operational problems within the following key areas of focus: Operational process structure, Change Management, Monitoring standards, System outages and System degradation events, Datacenter operations processes and activities.

 

How You Will Spend Your Time

  • Employ best practices to change management, Datacenter operations governance, issue and outage resolution processes.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize operational metrics and summarize operations data and trends.
  • Provide ownership of the design, implementation and ongoing improvements to the IT Operations issue escalation and resolution processes.
  • Own the initiation of Severity X processes, the creation of Coordination Bridge (e.g. Webex), and tracking of outage timelines and events.
  • Serve as centralized monitoring hub for Infrastructure and Operations. Routing events to appropriate teams.
  • Organize root cause analysis activities, capture root cause, lead post mortem activities, and create tech debt items as applicable.
  • Represent and communicate the mission and values of Farm Credit Mid-America and comply with its conduct policy, security policy and confidentiality expectations.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science or related field is required or Years of relevant professional-level work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements and two to three years experience in an IT Operations or related role. Strong process management skills, oral and written communication skills, and analytical skills necessary; understanding of ITIL processes with some exposure to related projects expected.

 

Mental & Physical Requirements

While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
