SCHEDULE: Full Time, Hybrid
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25%
COMPENSATION: $80,485.00 to $174,051.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
Administer, and maintain the association's network infrastructure, communications infrastructure, Local Area Network(s), and Wide Area Network (WAN) supporting the Louisville Office and 80+ Retail Offices. Responsible for security and integrity of all corporate network systems and data. Implements operational plans for systems that connect the organizations servers, MS Exchange email, MS SQL Databases, software applications, cloud solutions, data storage, and telephony systems. Develops effective communications with all Teams in Business Technology organization.
All positions have engineering level expertise of Cisco technologies.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Performs day to day support of the organizations WAN, LAN(s), and telecommunications systems. Documents installation and recovery procedures for all activities. Updates and maintains network diagrams. Ensures maximum uptime for all network systems and applications.
- Responsible for monitoring LAN/WAN performance, reviewing LAN/WAN activities daily, and reporting anomalies and problem trends. Responsible for maintaining the network security and associated data integrity of all electronic corporate data in the central office and Retail Offices. Monitors network and reports on all unauthorized access.
- Supports the planning, coordination, and installation of LAN/WAN hardware and software infrastructure and related renewal activities. Assists leader and teammates by providing design expertise for network system upgrades or replacements.
- Actively supports the planning, documentation, and testing of the disaster recovery processes and procedures supporting the infrastructure and systems in the central and field offices.
- Participates in the evaluation of network related hardware and software products with special emphasis on new products and makes recommendations relative to their usage within the association. Monitors advances in hardware and software technology and communications technology - makes recommendations for increasing efficiencies within the association through the use of this technology. Assists in conducting proof of concept efforts and in the overall procurement process.
- Ensures technical skills are kept up to date to maintain tooling and capabilities awareness for recommendation of current technologies, and to provide the most efficient support to end users.
- Actively participates in assigned team projects fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively driving solutions to seek attainment of team goals.
- Represents and communicates the mission and values of Farm Credit Mid-America and complies with its conduct policy, security policy and confidentiality expectations.
- Actively support and maintain Farm Credit Mid-America’s VoIP and video systems. Provide recommendations and actively participate in monitoring the network to provide the best audio and video experience for our teams and customers.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues involving poor audio and video across the network. Support configuration and maintenance of Cisco VoIP and Telepresence systems. Provide input to support teams and other team members about the function of the voice and video systems.
Minimum Education & Experience
Preferred experience is at least five years or more experience supporting networking and/or telecommunications. A work history showing increasing responsibility in the area of telecommunications, switches, routers, wireless, and/or firewall technologies. Demonstrated customer service experience, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills required. High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business or related field preferred.
Minimum experience is two years supporting a variety of LAN equipment, WAN equipment, and telephone equipment.
Licenses and/or certifications in CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Technician, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CENT), CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional, preferred.
