SCHEDULE: Full Time, Hybrid
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25%
COMPENSATION: $82,497.00 to $178,402.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
Primarily working in the Salesforce platform and ecosystem. Provides high level analysis, technical design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of custom developed components in Platform as a Service or Software as a Service line of business applications; provides information and guidance to teammates (end users) of vendor developed software; performs fact finding and analysis for problem solving for business applications.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Design and develop solutions in the native languages of assigned platforms. This can include Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and other technologies.
- Provides technical and systems design expertise to assist in the development, implementation, review and upgrade of third-party, Platform as a Service (Paas), or Software as a Service (Saas) solutions (i.e. Salesforce, nCino, ServiceNow, etc). Is proactive in providing suggestions in regards to product development, new services and technologies or enhancements to existing systems/configurations which will assist the end user in improving overall service to our customers.
- Develop test plans along with expected results and perform unit testing. Prepare implementation plans along with back-out and recovery plans. Provide on-going production support as needed.
- Create and manage integrations with PaaS/SaaS applications
- Lend development and systems expertise to Software Systems Engineers in the daily support and maintenance of internal, vended software applications, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
- Provide estimates on project requests and timely delivery based on the estimates.
- Promote code through development environments using an automated deployment tool
- Use backup and seeding tools to create automated backups and allow for creating ad-hoc development environments.
- Actively participates in assigned team projects fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking attainment of team goals.
- Keeps technical skills up to date to provide most efficient support to end users.
- Promote Agile practices such as TDD, Continuous Integration, paired programming, scrum and cross-functional development within the team.
Minimum Education & Experience
Associate's Degree (or equivalent relevant work experience) in computer science, business or related field and two years experience as PaaS/SaaS developer using two or more of the following technologies: Salesforce, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, ETL, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS; Windows-based development tools;
OR
High School Diploma/GED and four years experience as PaaS/SaaS developer using two or more of the following technologies: Salesforce, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, ETL, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS; Windows-based development tool
Certified Salesforce Administrator preferred.
