SCHEDULE: Full Time, Hybrid
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25%
COMPENSATION: $48,008.00 to $87,738.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
Provides exceptional internal and external customer service by supporting the acquisition and delivery of valuation products. Responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of customer and or borrower collateral data within valuation servicing systems. Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
Valuation Coordinators plays a key role in meeting the collateral valuation needs of the association and its borrowers. Uphold compliance and regulatory guidelines to minimize risk to the association. May be designated as a qualified evaluator to perform collateral valuations in accordance with Farm Credit Administration guidelines, within the scope of delegated authority.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Establishes, develops, and maintains strong internal and external customer relationships by coaching others and consistently providing quality service that is timely, thorough, responsive, and exceeds customer expectations.
- Provides appraisal management support for the functions within the Collateral Services team.
- Verifies and/or compiles physical and legal information, such site area, site improvements and legal descriptions, to help staff and external appraisers vendors prepare appraisals and valuations.
- Negotiates with internal and external appraiser resources to secure bids and delivery time-frames for valuation products.
- Actively searches for additional external fee appraisers and is the first point of contact with external vendors. Acquires documentation from external fee appraisers to support being added to the associations appraiser fee panel.
- Provides support to staff appraisers and external fee appraisers on appraisal related questions for the Collateral Management Services team.
- Ensures timely payment of appraisal invoices completed for Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st.
- May complete environmental history reports for properties when necessary.
- Coordinates action with appropriate Collateral Services team members when an appraisal review is required per procedures and processes.
- Collaborates with the accounting department to process payment of vendor invoices through Concur for appraisal assignments, subscriptions, and other vendors for the Collateral Services team. Follow up with external vendors as needed to obtain evaluations and W9 forms as needed for MAKY_AP and Concur support.
Minimum Education & Experience
High School Diploma/GED is required. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field is preferred. Plus experience in two or more of the following areas: financially related customer service, loan processing, loan servicing, title or loan document review, or real estate.

This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
