TRAVEL REQUIRED:  0% - 25% 


COMPENSATION: $114,350.00 to $289,501.00  base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

About Our Opportunity

The Regional Vice President Crop Insurance provides leadership, direction, and coaching to a field based team of Insurance Officers and Insurance Managers responsible for growing the Association’s crop insurance portfolio ranging from small to complex farming operations. This role enables team success by setting clear expectations, reinforcing a trusted advisor sales approach, and ensuring consistent execution of market and territory strategies. 

Regional Vice Presidents lead broad, multisite or multistate business areas, with responsibility for performance, relationships, and long term regional success. They drive strategic execution through sales professionals, elevate regional consistency, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus across dispersed teams and geographies, site or multistate business areas, with responsibility for performance, relationships, and long-term regional success. How You Will Spend Your Time

  • Leads, coaches, and develops a team of sales professionals including Insurance Officers and Insurance Managers to meet growth and retention goals for marketplace. 
  • Develops, monitors, and manages the annual budget, aligning resources with organizational goals and fiscal accountability. 
  • Translates market strategy into territory plans to support small to large-sized customers. 
  • Ensures adherence to crop insurance program rules, documentation standards, and compliance regulations.
    Provides strategic leadership across multiple territories, locations, or markets. 
  • Develops sales professionals through coaching, clarity, and performance management. 
  • Aligns regional goals and plans with enterprise strategies and objectives. 
  • Strengthens operational consistency and customer experience across the region. 
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and community stakeholders. 
  • Evaluates performance trends and makes decisions that support sustainable growth. 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years relevant experience is required.

Mental & Physical Requirements

While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
